84 songs Foreword (Attention Pastors, Teachers and Children’s Workers) In 1944 we were privileged to introduce the first book of “Action,” a compilation of gospel songs and choruses loved by every boy and girl down through the years. Testimonies to the overwhelming acceptance of this book and the blessing it has been to thousands of boys and girls everywhere have brought great encouragement to us in the work. Requests have been numerous for another such compilation. Therefore, we are now offering Action No. 3, companion volume to Action No.1.and Action No. 2, with an entirely different selection of songs and choruses. We have again included only songs which we have felt would be of greatest benefit to the boys and girls, and of greatest help to those leading them. As in the first book, we have included a great number of action songs. On its pages you will also find some of the old “Sunday School” hymns and choruses as “well as some brand new ones” which already have the indications of becoming real favorites. I have endeavored to keep the songs in ranges suitable for children’s voices. We wish to again thank the many pastors, children’s workers and musicians who have all so generously given of their time and suggestions as they did with the first two books, without which it would hove been impossible to compile another book so well adapted to serve in the various phases of children’s work.
